About the role
We are looking for a confident, competent and enthusiastic person to be a Team Leader within this unique community setting for adults with learning disabilities. The people we support have various needs and our aim is to work as a team to enable them to reach their full potential and to have a full and fulfilled life, whilst ensuring that they remain safe and happy. The successful candidate will be managing a team within our range of supported living houses and flats and contribute to the overall running of the whole community.
We work to meet the expectations of the people we support and the charity, and to meet the obligations as contracted by the local authority and relevant regulatory requirements. The Croft Community is currently CQC rated overall as Good and Outstanding in responsiveness. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that this standard is maintained, and continued improvements promoted within your team and throughout the whole community. You must be able to lead by example, support and develop colleagues skills and knowledge and manage the team to achieve this.
We are looking for someone who is a leader, yet approachable and caring, putting the needs of the Community Members first and ensuring that the whole team work together towards this purpose. You will need to be able to liaise effectively with health and social care professionals and family members and other partners. You will also represent The Croft and Camphill Village Trust positively within the wider community and support active participation and engagement with opportunities in the local area.

Camphill Village Trust is an award-winning national charity supporting people with learning and other disabilities. We provide housing, care, support and day opportunities to people with learning and other difficulties. We support people to be safe, healthy, happy and to be active citizens living a life of opportunity.
The Croft Community provides supported living, learning and working opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, autism and various needs. We also provide varied work opportunities including market gardens, café, textile, enterprise and community focused workshops. This enables the people we support to live lives which are socially connected and full of meaning and purpose.
What we provide
We provide a full induction and free training. We will support you to obtain training in Team Leader skills such as supervision, leadership and team building.
Our hourly rate of pay is £10.56, and currently an additional £70.47 pay for a sleep in. Additional hours are often available. Contractual salary is £20,592, but typical annual earnings with 1 sleep in a week are £24,246 p/a.

What we need from you
· Minimum (achieved or working towards) NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent is essential.
· Experience in managing rotas, leading shifts and supervising a team is desirable.
· Hours are full time (37.5 hours), working Monday to Sunday as part of a rota system.
· Shift patterns may include: early shifts, late shifts, weekends, sleep overs and/or waking nights.
