A huge thank you to the Finnis Scott Foundation for their very generous donation of £6,000 to cover the cost of the planting in our new social farm garden, which we are developing at our Delrow Community, on the edge of Watford.
The garden will provide therapeutic opportunities such as planting and growing vegetables and flowers for the people we support who live in our Delrow Community as well as day placements for people with learning disabilities from the local area.
A selection of plants and shrubs arrived at our Delrow Community over the weekend and work will begin very soon to start planting them.
The Finnis Scott Foundation was established under the Will of Lady Montagu Douglas Scott (Valerie Finnis) in 2006. The foundation provides grants in the areas of horticulture and plant sciences.
