Camphill Village Trust Larchfield Community support Refill. It’s a campaign to help stamp-out plastic pollution by offering free refill tap water on the go, rather than buying a single-use plastic bottle.
As part of the award-winning Refill campaign, the UK is being urged to take part in National Refill Day on June 19, in a bid to prevent plastic pollution caused by single-use plastic water bottles. The goal of National Refill Day is to normalise refilling and make sure everyone, knows how easy it is to find free drinking water on the go.
The cafe at Camphill Village Trust Larchfield Community on the edge of Middlesbrough is now a refill station. Call in with your reusable bottle, and we will refill it for FREE!
The average person in the UK uses 150 plastic water bottles a year. Make the switch from a single-use plastic bottle to a reusable one. If just 1 in 10 of us, refilled just once a day we’d save more than 340 million plastic bottles a year.
67% of people would be more likely to use a reusable bottle if they knew businesses would be willing to fill it up.
