Obituary: Petur Sveinbjarnarson

The Trust is sad to share that following a fall Petur Sveinbjarnarson, a former and long serving Trustee of the charity, died on December 23rd aged 74.

Petur was the former Chief Executive and Chairman of the pioneering Solheimer Ecovillage in Iceland that provided craft, horticultural, tourism and enterprise opportunities to people with a range of support needs within a strong community environment. He was a prominent public figure in his homeland Iceland, involved in business, public sector and social affairs.

Petur became a Trustee of Camphill Village in 2006 and remained on our Board until 2017.
