We’re delighted that so many people have taken part in our first ever Crafternoon Tea fundraising event.
Getting crafty at work and at home
Gill Jowett, who has been a loyal supporter for 45 years, hosted a crafting party for a group of friends at home. ‘When I read about Crafternoon Tea, I thought this was something I could do. We had a very enjoyable time, making decoupage spatulas, pretty gift boxes decorated with ‘jewels’ and wreaths from twisting willow and inserting wildflowers. And best of all, we raised £150!’
Investors in Community is a national corporate social responsibility specialist who have been very supportive of the Trust over the past year. They ordered a craft kit for colleagues to enjoy a team-building day.
‘It was a fantastic day, we had a blast,’ says Sophie from Investors in Community. ‘We struggled with the macramé coaster but we did make some lovely tassels and really enjoyed spending time together!’
