As lockdown restrictions are gradually eased, our popular Larchfield Community café re-opened to the public in May – and everyone is delighted.
The behind the scenes bakery has kept running during lockdown with small socially distanced groups – but now that the café is open there’s an extra incentive to produce their famous scones and cakes.
Freshly baked and ready to go!
‘Today we baked scones for the café for the first time in ages,’ says Michael, who’s a regular at both the café and the bakery. ‘It was great to see them all lined up.’
Michael’s looking forward to getting back to work in the café too. ‘I’ve been working in the bakery during lockdown but from June I’ll be able to help in the café again,’ he explains. ‘We’re opening things up gradually. I’ll be glad to get back to normal!’
