Shared Lives carers provide a home for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The aim is to enable them to be as independent as possible. It’s a personable alternative to traditional settings, which enables people to lead longer, healthier and happier lives.

Colleen and her husband Malcom have worked as foster carers, and Shared Lives Carers for many years, and in 2020, S moved in full-time with Colleen and her husband Malcom, following twenty-five years of respite with the family.
Two Shared Lives families joining together to go on holiday - building friendships even wider across local community and also providing really positive peer support for the 2 carers.
