What Severnside Skills can offer

Our courses are aimed at Level One and Entry Level abilities and an initial assessment will ensure you are working towards a level that is appropriate for your progression

AQA

We use AQA’s (Assessment and Qualifications Alliance) Unit Award Scheme (UAS) which is a unique way to record learner achievement. Its ‘can do’ approach is used to boost student confidence, engagement, and motivation.

Train your way

Each individual will have a holistic review of the outcomes they wish to achieve and may choose from a range of educational units so the outcomes change as the needs and desires of the individual change.

What we offer

This means that individuals will be able to combine their learning with work experience in a real working environment, serving customers, using a till, waiting tables and gain prolonged and sustainable work experience within a real working environment.

Step towards your independence with us

We offer opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and autism to develop a variety of practical skills, social skills and work towards independence and possibly employment as part of care provision

With opportunities such as:

  • Retail training
  • Catering training
  • Supported work experience
  • Grounds and site maintenance
  • Garden skills within our Gloucestershire communities
  • Short courses to be announced
Amanda Hawkins is the Lead Course Tutor for catering and retail
