Our benefits for employees
We want our employees to enjoy what they do, which is why we are looking to recruit great people to make our communities a great place to live for the people that we support and a great place to work for our employees.
Many of our communities are set in beautiful rural locations, surrounded by fields, farm animals and great views. Many of our employees say that this is one of the reasons that they enjoy coming to work.
We are looking for people who can demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude, with the ability to adapt to the needs of the people we support, as well as being understanding of individual differences, not only of the people that we support but of work colleagues and volunteers that you may work alongside.
If we believe in you, then hopefully you will believe in us and make a real contribution to the great work of our charity.
There are some great benefits from working with Camphill Village Trust. These include…
- Extra annual leave
We give all our employees an extra week of annual leave above the statutory provision, so all full-time employees receive 33 days of paid annual leave.
- A little extra
Sometimes our employees prefer extra pay rather than extra leave so we give the option of ‘cashing in’ that extra week.
We provide access to a discount scheme for charity workers for preferential prices and discounts in store and online for a wide range of goods and services.
- Access to support
Everyone needs advice and support from time to time, whether that is for health issues, relationship difficulties, debt problems or family issues.
We provide access to a 24/7 helpline for confidential advice and support employees and their immediate family and for employees access to face-to-face counselling.
- Flexible working arrangements
We do our best to offer flexible working arrangements whenever possible.
- Saying thank you
We give an extra payment to say thank you when an employee recommends someone they know to come and work with us and they join us.
- Support with sickness
We provide access to a generous company sick pay after 1 month of employment, starting at 4 weeks of paid sick leave and increasing to 12 weeks with service.
- Thinking ahead
We help employees save extra for retirement. In addition, the normal state auto-enrolment scheme, if an employee contributes 10% of their pay, the charity makes a 6% contribution.
