What is community fundraising?
Community fundraising is all about people coming together to raise money for a shared cause. Whether you’re taking on a personal challenge, rallying your school, organising a workplace fundraiser or planning a community event, your efforts help create opportunities for people supported by Camphill Village Trust.
Individual fundraising
As well as making a donation why not take on your own challenge and help the Camphill Village Trust at the same time. Whether it be a sponsored run, a skydive, a bake off or a dancing marathon. Do something incredible for you, for your friends and for Camphill Village Trust.
You can raise funds for us by doing something out of the ordinary. There is no limit to what you could do, but here are a few ideas to get you thinking…
Bag packing
Ask your local supermarket if you and your friends can go in for the day to pack people’s bags. Not only is it a great way to provide a service to the community, you will be collecting funds in your buckets for Camphill Village Trust
Bake sale
The baked goods made at our communities are of the highest standard. Can you match our quality? If you can why not bake some tasty treats, take them to your place of work or out to your local community and ask people for a donation – everyone loves a bit of cake!
Dress down or dress up days
Whether you go casual or step it up with a costume, variety is the spice of life. Choose a theme and ask everyone to donate.
High tea for Camphill Village Trust
Invite your friends for an elegant afternoon of delicacies, ask for donations for the Trust in return and then even challenge them to host you for tea next time!
Get sporty
Round up friends and family to take part in a sports tournament. For you or for the kids whether it be football, rounders, netball or sponsored run, get active and raise money for the Trust at the same time.
Raffles and lotteries
Ask friends, family, local businesses to donate prizes and sell tickets for a chance to win.
Skydiving
The big one. Do you dare to fly up high in the sky, jump out of a plane and parachute back down to earth? Its not for everyone, but if you have it in you, we can help arrange this once in a lifetime experience with you.

Group fundraising: groups, schools and organisations
By raising funds for our charity, your school, community group or organisation could have a real impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities helping to redress the inequality that people with a learning disability have to face every day.
There are many different ways that you could fundraise for Camphill Village Trust. In return for your support, we will ensure that you are supported in your fundraising. You will have a named contact to answer any queries you may have and to make sure you have suitable materials to make your fundraising as effective as possible.
We welcome invitations to give talks at your group and we love it when groups come to visit one of our communities to get a real insight into our work.
