Kingfisher Cafe – temporary closure
Kingfisher Cafe does more than serve delicious coffee and amazing homemade food – we are a social enterprise existing to provide opportunities and support for people with learning and other disabilities.
We wanted to let you know the cafe is temporarily closed so we can carry out some essential improvement works.
What are we doing?
We need to carry out work so we can provide a better training environment for the people we support; we need to increase space so we can support more people who will benefit from the opportunities at the cafe, and the improvements will give our diners (old and new) a fantastic customer experience in a beautiful environment.
When do we re-open?
The cafe closed on May 4th and we expect the work to take several months to complete. As with any building work you don’t always know exactly how long it will take, however we are working hard to get the cafe back up and running as soon as possible. We will be placing updates on the cafe window and if you follow us on social media we will share some photos of how the work is progressing.
Please come back!
We truly appreciate every single customer. Every penny you spend in our cafe goes to helping us provide a life of opportunity for people with learning disabilities, so we don’t want the closure to mean we lose your valued custom. We have lots of events taking place at Croft Community, Malton which are open to the public so please visit us.
We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to enjoy some home-grown, home reared, homemade, organic, delicious food and drink!
The Kingfisher Café in Malton is a lovely place to stop for a bite to eat.
Our Cafés are vibrant spaces which are open to the wider community. Serving food made with the freshest ingredients, sourced from within our communities.
