This summer, we marked a very special milestone—70 years of Botton Village…
The very first community of Camphill Village Trust—with a joyful, fun-filled Summer Fair that brought together friends, families, supporters and neighbours.
The fair was a huge success, filled with colour, connection, and community spirit. Visitors explored a wide range of stalls and local vendors, got creative with craft activities, and enjoyed face painting and entertainment for all ages.
There were brilliant performances from the Botton Village Choir, delicious food and refreshments, and even a vintage car fleet on display—offering something for everyone to enjoy.
A highlight of the day was the official reveal of the newly refurbished Old Store, a much-loved community building that has recently been transformed thanks to Bell Group, our dedicated Botton Village community volunteers, and support from Amy Dixon, Co-production Lead for Botton Village and Larchfield.
The event was a true celebration of everything Botton Village represents—community, inclusion, creativity and opportunity. It was also a wonderful reminder of the lasting impact of the Camphill Village Trust, which began in Botton Village in 1955 and has since grown into a nationwide charity that continues to support adults with learning disabilities and autism to live meaningful, connected lives.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on the day, to those who contributed their time and energy behind the scenes, and to the wider Camphill Village Trust family for being part of this journey.
Here’s to 70 years of community—and the future we’re continuing to build, together.
