Taking on a 7-mile challenge
At Camphill Village Trust, we celebrate every achievement, big and small.
For Daniel, a member of our Larchfield Community, a 7-mile walk through Great Ayton and Roseberry Topping marks an incredible personal milestone. It’s not just about the distance, it’s about confidence, independence, and overcoming barriers.
Daniel’s journey has involved months of training walks, building his physical stamina, and developing his social confidence. For Daniel, simple things like visiting a busy pub for a meal once felt overwhelming, but now, he’s looking forward to celebrating his walk with a well-earned pub lunch!
It’s particularly fitting that Daniel is taking on this challenge during National Walking Month.
This is a campaign that celebrates the many benefits of walking for physical and mental wellbeing.
We believe in creating a Life of Opportunity for everyone we support, where individuals can grow, take control, and live life on their terms. Daniel’s journey also reflects the values at the heart of the I Statements we champion, like “I want to be confident in my life” and “I want to grow and develop.”
We’re so proud of Daniel’s hard work, courage, and the amazing progress he has made.
Keep an eye out for updates as he takes on this incredible challenge!
