Festover 2025: A Summer Celebration at Delrow Community

Delrow’s Festover

As part of our 70th anniversary year, communities across Camphill Village Trust have been coming together to mark the occasion with a summer full of connection, creativity and celebration. And, at the end of June, it was Delrow Community’s turn – and Festover 2025 did not disappoint!

Set in the beautiful grounds of Delrow, just outside Watford, the weekend-long festival brought people we support, staff, families and friends together for a joyful blend of music, food, activities and shared moments.

What took place?

Friday kicked off in style with six brilliant bands taking to the stage – including our very own Delrow Band and the ever-popular Support Band. With dancing on the green, marshmallows toasted around the fire, and the smell of barbecued food in the air, the atmosphere was buzzing well into the night.

Many of us pitched tents and camped under the stars, ready to roll into a packed Saturday programme after a hearty breakfast of egg and bacon rolls.

The day was filled with opportunities to relax, create and have fun. There was an aromatherapy and beauty area, circus skills sessions, games, a paddling pool to splash around in, and even a textile table for anyone wanting to get crafty. One of the highlights was a heart-warming puppet performance of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, beautifully brought to life by people we support in the community.

As the sun set, everyone gathered once more for an open-air cinema experience – a perfect, relaxed way to end a weekend of celebration.

All the food across the weekend was lovingly prepared and served by the Café on the Corner team, who kept us well-fed and smiling from start to finish.

Festover 2025 was more than just a festival – it was a brilliant reflection of everything that makes Camphill Village Trust communities so special: inclusion, creativity, and a strong sense of belonging.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise the event and to all who joined in the fun. Here’s to 70 years – and many more to come!
