Winter Fruit Tree Pruning Course at Botton

Join us in the orchards at Botton Village for a practical, hands-on day learning how to prune fruit trees with confidence and skill.

This course is led by two highly experienced tutors:

🌿 Jan Hoyland, organic gardening expert, designer and author

What to expect:

We’ll begin indoors with the theory behind winter pruning – covering fruit varieties, rootstocks, planting, pests and diseases, and the fundamentals of growing healthy fruit trees. We’ll then explore pruning techniques for both young and mature trees before heading outside for a demonstration.

After lunch, you’ll split into small groups to practice pruning in the orchards, building confidence and practical skills with expert guidance throughout.
