Botton Next Generation

For 70 years, Botton has been more than just a place to live or work - it’s been a vibrant, inclusive community where people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health support needs can truly thrive. Now, it’s time to shape the next chapter and keep the strong connection to our past.

We’re looking at four key areas that will shape Botton’s future

  • Our People: Living well together
Supporting an ageing population while welcoming new people to keep the village vibrant
  • Our Income: Thriving economy
Building economic resilience through sustainable social enterprise, tourism, and partnerships
  • Our Land and Environment: Natural resources
Making the most of our resources while respecting the environment and community needs. Promoting regenerative land use and sustainable farming practices
  • Our Infrastructure: Foundations for the future
Improving accessibility, inclusivity, and sustainability (from renewable energy to waste management)

What happens next?

We're currently in phase one of the project, develop a clear vision and long-term plan for Botton. We're bringing together ideas, feedback and opportunities to help shape what Botton could look like in the future.

We've been gathering feedback and ideas since January 2026 and are now developing a draft vision. This will go to our Board of Trustees in October for approval of the overall direction of travel.

We will share the vision as it progresses on this page, if you would like to contact us please email BottonNG@cvt.org.uk.
