About Botton Village Store
Our Botton Village Store is made up of 4 concepts:
- Gift shop. Our gift shop products are sourced from our own Botton Village community and are hand-made by people we support and our creative partners in our Craft Studio, Wood Workshop, Weavery and Print Press. From rugs to pottery to cards, these are made by the people we support. We also stock items that are made by other Camphill Village Trust communities. Additionally, we also buy from partner organisations and an outer rim of suppliers that share the same values as us. We ensure all the gifts available are environmentally friendly and ethically sourced.
- Farm shop. Our farm shop sells meat, fruit and vegetables that are all grown and reared in Botton Village on our farm and land. You can buy award-winning organic cheese made in our own Creamery from the milk produced by our award-winning Dairy Herd. We’ll soon be stocking jams, juices, preserves and chutneys made in our Food Centre from fruits and vegetables grown in our gardens. To compliment our own range, we have curated an offer of locally grown and organic produce, all available to buy here in Botton.
- Convenience Food. Our convenience food offer is perfect if you’re looking for a quick lunch or snacks. We have a range of readymade lunch options and drinks to gear you up before a walk around the North Yorks Moors or Botton’s 800+ acre estate.
- Village grocery store. This is ideal for people who live in the Botton Village community and our neighbours. Find all your essentials here.

Coming from Whitby
Turn off the A171 signposted 'Danby'. Follow the road across the moor until you drop down into the village of Danby, passing the Duke of Wellington pub on your left. Keep going straight ahead, over the bridge and heading towards Ainthorpe, passing Danby Fire Station on your right. Continue straight until you reach Danby School on your left. Take the left junction signposted 'Botton'.
Follow this country road for approximately 2 miles until you reach Botton Village. Continue straight on into the village. The Village store is the large building on your left as you enter the village centre.
Coming from Guisborough
Turn off the A171 signposted 'Castleton'. Follow the road across the moor until you drop down in the village of Castleton. Passing the Eskdale pub on your right, continue over the bridge and climb up into the village. Turn left at the T-junction. Drop down the hill heading out of the village and take the second junction on your right, signposted 'Botton Hall'.
Follow this road until you reach Danby School on the right. Turn right at this junction. Follow the country road for approximately 2 miles until you reach Botton Village. Continue straight on into the village. The Village store is the large building on your left as you enter the village centre.
