Café & Hospitality

The Hospitality training course takes place in Fresco and Severnside Kitchen. There may be additional opportunities to take on other hospitality roles during events.

The course will cover-

  • Health & Safety
  • Knife Skills
  • Food Safety
  • Communication
  • Team Work
  • Using the till
  • Numeracy and literacy
  • Barista skills

Opportunities for trainees during the course will include:

  • Serving customers in Fresco, the café in the garden, with support reducing over the course.
  • Learning to use the barista machine and prepare coffee to a high standard
  • Till training on our Epos touchscreen tills
  • Working in Severnside Kitchen servery as part of the team
  • Involvement in serving customers at events onsite and externally.
