The story of Fred Perry

The story of Fred Perry

Hi, my name is Fred Perry (like the tennis player) and I am 24 years of age. At the age of 18, I left foster care.

My personal experience was good overall. I made great connections with people around me.

It feels like a long time since I joined Camphill Village Trust; almost 6 years now.

I have enjoyed my time with the Trust, also met some great support workers and clients.

I went from living in shared houses to now having a new flat to myself. It feels good and I love a bit of peace and quiet. Many have come and gone, yet I still remain.

I look forward to the future; holidays, outings and getting myself back into acting lessons after the pandemic.

All in all, the time has flown by.

I enjoy my own company, family time and support time.

I love my Xbox and Korean dramas and my movies and series through streaming services.

This is a short insight into my world. Who knows what I become in 10 years’ time?

Written by Fred Perry from Camphill Village Trust’s Stourbridge community, with the support of Zenab Qutab.
