EDF at Grange Village
A big shout out to the team of 10 volunteers from EDF Energy in Barnwood, Gloucester who recently joined in to lend a hand at Grange Village.
The group got involved in a wide range of tasks across the estate, and helped to build two raised beds from reclaimed timber boards for our social garden.
Building connections
Members of the Food Production team at Grange Village provided a friendly welcome, hosting tea breaks with delicious home-made biscuits and hot drinks outside the community kitchen. Clare, our Day Opportunities Manager, says: ‘Volunteer groups like this are invaluable when it comes to tackling tasks like the new raised beds, where we need a few extra pairs of hands. We’d like to say a huge thank you to the team at EDF for choosing us as their charity to support!’
Team building activity days like this benefit local companies as well as our communities. We can offer teams a chance to get away from the office and enjoy a day in the fresh air, with the sense of satisfaction from a job well done!
