New Chief Executive Officer to join Camphill Village Trust

Adult learning disability charity and supported living provider Camphill Village Trust has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer.

Sarah Elliott will join on 1 December 2026 and brings a wealth of experience from across the charity and voluntary sector. Her previous roles include Chief Executive of the housing and homelessness charity Shelter and the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), England’s largest membership organisation for the voluntary sector.

Sarah also has more than 15 years of senior leadership experience in the non-profit sector, having served as Chief Executive of the Neurological Alliance and Director of Strategy and External Affairs at the Epilepsy Society. Sarah will take over from Acting CEO Paul Moore.

Michael Green, Acting Chair of Board of Trustees said: “As we look ahead, this is an exciting moment for Camphill Village Trust. Sarah brings with her a wealth of experience, perspective and skills to the Trust, and her warmth and proven ability to deliver change collaboratively will add enormously to our organisation. We look forward to continuing our work to strengthen Camphill Village Trust and create even greater opportunities for the people we support, now and in the years ahead.”

“I would also like to take a moment to thank Paul Moore for his steadfast leadership during this period of transition. Paul’s commitment and stewardship of the Trust have been invaluable, and I know colleagues across the organisation will join me in recognising the significant contribution he has made. The commitment, passion and hard work from the leadership team, and everyone who works for the Trust helps to shape our future and does not go unnoticed.”

Sarah Elliott, incoming Chief Executive Officer for Camphill Village Trust said:

“Camphill Village Trust’s approach and values align strongly with what is important to me: community, connection, co-production and inclusion.

“I have warm memories of visiting a Camphill Village Trust community with my family including my disabled brother Jack who we hoped would one day experience the care and independence of a supported living environment. Jack is my ‘why’ for what has become a 25-year charity sector career. I am delighted to have the opportunity to return to the disability sector at such an important time for reimagining social care.

“I am excited to work alongside the team, people we support and families to develop the next chapter building on the organisation’s proud history.”
