Craft Support Workers

Location: Larchfield, Middlesbrough

Salary: £8.50/ hour

Larchfield Community in Middlesbrough is part of Camphill Village Trust which is a national charity.  We provide supported living, learning and working opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and autism. We provide varied work opportunities including our own farm and gardens, bakery, café and craft workshops, to enable people to live lives which are socially connected and full of meaning and purpose.

We are recruiting Craft Support Workers to cover various hours within our Craft Workshops.  Both full time and part time posts are available.  You may also be required to work in other areas of the community, including houses or work areas.

Your role will be to provide opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues and other support needs, to engage in meaningful work, whilst encouraging individuals to develop their craft skills, social interaction and advance their understanding of social enterprise.

Someone with experience of working with vulnerable adults and a keen interest and skills in various craft work would be the ideal candidate for this role.  We seek enthusiastic, compassionate, flexible and creative individuals with a genuine interest in supporting adults within our community.  Ideally, you will have a QCF Level 2 qualification in Social Care, or equivalent, or be willing to work towards this qualification.
