Vacancy

Head of Human Resources

Location: Combination of working from home and regular presence at Regional Offices in North Yorkshire and Stourbridge, plus community locations when required. The post will entail regular travel, some unsociable hours and occasional overnight stays

Salary: £55,000 - £58,000

Application Deadline: 20/06/2019

Camphill Village Trust is a leading, long established and progressive UK charity supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism, mental health problems and other complex support needs. We encourage, enable and support over 550 people across a range of housing and support models and through our ten communities and services, all of which are rated ‘good or outstanding” with CQC.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust in this new national role that will report directly to the Chief Executive and  work alongside senior and operational management colleagues, to help shape the strategic direction of Camphill Village Trust and contribute to the development, implementation and review of our corporate strategies, annual plans, policies and procedures.

You will drive the practical operational delivery of innovative and quality HR to our 600 plus colleagues across our portfolio of care and support, and will provide leadership, direction and management to the HR team, developing and enhancing the skills and experience of the team in order to meet Camphill Village Trust’s present and future strategic and operational plans. We have many amazing colleagues working across the charity in a wide variety of roles, but like many social care providers we are challenged to bring more people with the right values and attitude to our charity and the sector.

Our direction and future is increasingly being informed and directed by the people we support through a range of co-production initiatives and projects that are still developing and evolving – and we see the growth of this co-productive approach as a bedrock of our future culture.

This is a hugely exciting time of continuous change for the charity but we are confident that whoever joins us at this exciting time will be valued, well supported and appreciated.

We are seeking an experienced CIPD qualified professional with a track record in managing and leading teams and supporting organisations through practical operational delivery of innovative and quality HR. If you feel passionate about enabling people to come together to collectively to provide the best care and support possible and this role looks exciting to you then we would welcome your application.
