*Internal* Team Leader

Location: Botton Village, North Yorkshire

Salary: £9.67 + sleep over + other benefits

About the role 

Following a review and developments within Botton Village we are introducing three new Team Leader positions.  These new positions will provide an opportunity for leadership progression and development and will support the current structure to:

  • facilitate growth in provision
  • provide dedicated Team Leader support in some of our larger households
  • provide an increased presence on a weekend
  • provide a more dedicated and effective quality assurance process

Our aim is to work as a team to enable people we support to lead more connected, fulfilled lives and make informed choices.  You will be helping each person to live their life in a way that makes sense to them, to exercise independent choice and control, to learn new skills and to develop their independence.

You must be able to demonstrate a consultative leadership style approach in order to support your team to achieve determined outcomes.  You will be responsible for the training needs and supervision of your team members as well as being able to organise and co-ordinate rotas and shifts.

You will work with the care and support management team to ensure full compliance across your areas of responsibility whilst always seeking to continually improve.  You will also be required to form part of a rolling on-call rota.

You will liaise with health and social care professionals and family members, attend reviews, CPA’s, safeguarding meetings and also represent Botton Village and Camphill Village Trust positively within the wider community

What we need from you 

You will be a confident, composed and enthusiastic, yet approachable and caring.  You will put the needs of the people we support first and ensure that the whole team work together to enable them to reach their full potential and lead a safe and fulfilled life.

We will be looking for: 

  • A minimum NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent is essential and a willingness to work towards level 3.
  • Some previous experience leading shifts/managing a team
  • Someone looking to progress into a leadership role.

All posts require you to have an Enhanced DBS disclosure.

What is important to us is that you share our values, have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.  You will be good at both listening to and talking with people.  You will have a positive and patient approach to supporting people with daily activities and enjoy helping people learn and explore new things.

You will need a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK.
