About the role
An exciting opportunity for a Driver has arisen to play a key role in enabling people to access day opportunities within the Gloucestershire communities and to the wider community, providing transport to those living in rural areas. The role will also involve driving mainly between the Gloucestershire communities and also to other locations in Gloucestershire to enable people to access day placements.
We are looking for people who can demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude, with the ability to adapt to the needs of the people we support, as well as being understanding of individual differences, not only of the people that we support but of work colleagues and volunteers that you may work alongside.

We provide a full induction and free training.
Our hourly rate of pay is £8. 50 Additional hours may be available at times.

What we need from you
Experience of driving a minibus and other vehicles is essential. You may have previous experience in care, but it is not essential. What is important to us is that you share our values, have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. You will be good at both listening to and talking with people. You will have a positive and patient approach to supporting people with daily activities and enjoy helping people learn and explore new things. You have a flexible approach and like work both as part a team as well as on your own. Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance will be an advantage
You will have a full Driving licence for at least 2 years with category B that allows you to drive a minibus or a minibus licence. Your licence must not have more than 3 points and you must not have not been disqualified for any period.
