Support Worker

Situated only 15 miles from the centre of London and just outside Watford, Delrow community combines both the rural and urban and is home to nearly 50 adults with a range of learning disabilities. A fully comprehensive support package includes the choice of activities in our workshops where skills are developed, and friendships forged. Although the role can be demanding at times, it is also very rewarding.

We are looking for motivated support worker’s to join our community, working on a shift rota basis, typically full time (37.5hrs) but we will also consider Part-time hours. Shifts are arranged to meet the needs of the people we support and may include sleep in’s as well as day shifts.

Care experience is not essential, here at Delrow it is your own values and attitude which counts the most to us, and the willingness to support others. We are looking for people who ideally have a working experience of; awareness of Learning Disabilities, challenging and repetitive behaviour’s, or autism; however, personal/life experiences are also highly considered or those candidates wanting to make a difference for others.

Candidates will Ideally have a QCF Level 2 qualification in Social Care or equivalent or be willing to work towards this qualification during employment with us. Our benefits portfolio also includes a full training & Induction programme, and other opportunities for personal development.

Our Charity is committed to safeguarding adults, therefore, an Enhanced DBS will be required for this job role which will be funded through the charity, as well as employment references.
