Team Leader at Seeds of Nurture allotment

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide temporary support in the absence of the team leader for a day opportunity provision in the form of an allotment project at Camphill St Albans. The role will be Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm to support the management in development of the allotment project, through effective planning, leadership skills, creativity and being able to do so using a person-centred approach.

We already have a Team leader in post, this role will be to cover an absence temporarily and there may be ongoing cover needed for one or two days a week once the post holder returns. It is also anticipated that the successful applicant will be responsible for manual or heavier tasks. This role is developing and candidates must be aware that numbers attending the workshop is expected to increase in time as the workshop becomes more successful.

Previous experience of horticulture, gardening (role) is essential to this role along with the knowledge of allotments and crop rotation.

NVQ/degree in horticulture is preferred for this role.The skills and competences needed for this role are detailed in the attached job description.
