Team Leader for Quality

Location: Croft Community, Malton

Salary: £10.56 per hour

The Team Leader – Quality, will have an important role to take a lead with the maintenance and progression of high-quality standards within the Croft Community. The post will support the teams to remain compliant with relevant regulations, legislation and policy, so the candidate should have a good working knowledge of:

  • The expectations of the Care Quality Commission,
  • Working with the Local Authority,
  • Health & Safety requirements,
  • Medication systems and procedures
  • Quality assurance and audit processes.

You will support the Team Leaders within the Community to provide opportunities for our people to have an active social life, helping them to make friends and maintain friendships and to access and enjoy leisure activities.

You will lead by example in helping each person to live their life in a way that makes sense to them, to exercise independent choice and control, to learn new skills and to develop their independence.

The Croft Community is based in Malton and includes a mixture of supported living homes, market garden, town centre café, craft workshops and community-based work, in a unique setting.

What we need from you

At least three years previous experience of working within a care or support setting, ideally with adults with learning disabilities, with at least one year at a more senior level. A Level 3 in Health and Social care or equivalent or a willingness to work towards this. What is important to us is that you share our values, have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.  You will be good at both listening to and talking with people.  You will have a positive and patient approach to supporting people with daily activities and enjoy helping people learn and explore new things.  You have a flexible approach and like work both as part a team as well as on your own.

You will be working Monday to Friday, mainly during office hours, with the flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, bank holidays an occasions.

A full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK, as you will be driving the charity’s vehicles is desirable.
