Jane enjoys needlework, but this lovely picture of donkeys at the beach was the first time she had ever tried working with felts.
‘Sarah at the weavery helped me with the outline,’ she says. ‘I painted the paper, then the felt goes on top of that.’ Stitching and beads to create the grass and flowers were the finishing touch.
‘It’s a nice sunny picture. I’m pleased with how it turned out,’ says Jane.
Jane’s love of needlework has kept her busy during lockdown. ‘I make lots of pictures,’ she says.
‘I love doing flowers and birds – in fact I’m doing a lapwing at the moment. But I’m really proud of my donkeys at the beach!’
